Im not sure im guessing its a striped bark scorp... someone brought it into the pet store and it was given to me b/c the lady that worked there said it was far too small to be sold... so she just boxed it up and gave it to me, ill go snap a picture... she was unable to tell me what kind at the shop, she said it was too early to tell, that theyre all that color or something when theyre that young

Not to dispute anyone here, but there is a "striped bark scorpion" Centruroides vittatus and this looks like one. We need a better pic to be sure!

yeah unfortunately the lady was talking out of her rear end. Not all scorpions look a like when they are small in fact few look a like. The good part is that you got a scorpion though Very Happy Its a little hard to ID with the pics though may need a close shot with macro

southeast coast of texas, just south of houston and about 20 miles or so from the gulf... i lived up in central texas for a long time and scorpions were common to find, and most looked alot like this one here, but where im at now in lake jackson, i dont think ive ever seen one down here, not to say they arent down here, but i grew up here and snakes, gators, and spiders are much more common

I'm from San Antonio, but I live in Cedar Creek in Bastrop county. I got a female I found back in October. Can't wait until the weather warms up to find a male. I'd take a look at this.

Good luck with her and don't hesitate to ask questions. You're at the right place!!!

Then Centruoides vittatus is the name that should be used, those made up names only cause mixups between species!
