Small crix, baby roaches, squat maggots... anything small enough. If you dont use small food for anything just pre-kill a cricket and drop that in, or even pull a big cricket's back leg off and give the spiderling a "drumstick".

Bex, you've finally succumbed to the T posion.. lolz

Very nice T you'll be getting. The good thing of getting a sling (other then the lower cost) is we're able to grow with it.
With every molt, your fear of it will be lessen and you'll be more attached to it in deeper affections Smile

Look forward to his/her arrival to your cosy enclosures Very Happy

Haha yeah everyone said I would happened it has Smile
Yeah I was hoping by getting it small it can grow up with me in the hope I won't be scared of it and vice versa I don't know if these can be handled or even if T's should be handled but would be awesome if I could, do slings kick/flick hairs like adults? And if I handle it when it's small would it be easier when large or shoal I avoid handling altogether??

I dun have exp with lasiodora parahybana but i do believe its best to put on gloves/mask when you are doing rehousing/feeding it due to the urticating hairs they flick.

With regards to handling, i guess most ppl would advice no handling of Ts but i believe its really hard not to have experienced the extraordinary feeling when your beloved T is crawling in your palms... at least once in your lifetime (be it on purpose or rescuing an escapee during rehousing). Of cos not advisable for Old World Ts due to the higher possibility of getting a bite.

Avoid deliberate handling i would say, but i'm guessing you might have the chance when doing rehousing for him/her.
Just make sure you are close to the ground, armed yourself with gloves/mask etc and have plenty of open space around you when doing so. A standby of a larger deli container beside you might be helpful too, in the event if your T suddenly decides to go for a sudden sprint! lolz

The hairs drive you mad itching. This species tend to not flick too much, they run off or bite.
I wouldnt handle a big one at all. Spiderlings are ok but they'll never become tame.
You wont be getting through too much food mate, a full grown mouse once every couple of months is more than enough for a full grown one.
Couple of crix a week is plenty.
When it's bigger, lob a few crix in then leave it 2 or 3 weeks, wont hurt it all. Treat it like a full grown Imperial.
