Thats weird, I wonder why my Flat Rock is closing us off from her world.... could she be about to have babys? That spot used to be wide open, was her path in and out of her rock pile. I dont want to turn the tank around to check on her, dont want to disturb her. I can still see her tail and sometimes her abdomen, so I know shes not dead......

The blocking off of an entrance that has usually been opened to an extent is sometimes a good sign of an impending birth. If she hasn't eaten in a while, it would also increase the likelihood of an impending birth. I'd leave her alone and see what happens. Good luck!

If the Hadogenes in question is the one from your avatar, you're probably in good shape for a brood. The Hadogenes genus in general I have a lot of respect for in that it takes a very patient and disciplined individual to care them throughout their lifecycle. They're very slow growing with an extremely long gestation period. If you get babies, cherish them and learn everything you can about them. They're imported fairly often in the states, so they get about as much respect as emperors or forest scorpions. I imagine extremely low venom potency is also cause for this as well. It would be really cool to see more people work on trying to culture them. Best of luck to you.

Yes it is in fact the one from my avatar. That picture was taken about 2 months ago.... Just about the time she stopped eating. Im only hoping that ive given her everything I could have to make it as easy as possible for her. Up until one week ago (which was the last time I tried to get her to eat) ive been head crushing crickets and dubais. And setting them within 2 inches of her rock pile hoping that she would stumble across it and grab a snack. Hasnt touched anything in 2 months. So in trying not to disturb her I just stopped offering food altogether.
In doing some reading, I came across a paragraph that states I should drop the temp in her tank to mimic the drop in temp in the wild. And it also said that birthing usually occurs in Jan or Feb. So im hoping. IDK.
Time to do some more reading on the species to see what I can come up with.

So I woke up this morning and on the way past the tanks I looked inside and the hole is completely blocked now. I have no way of seeing her unless I move the tank. And I dont want to do that. So now, I wait.
And to top it all off, my dog is about to birth pups.

I suppose that would explain why one of my striped devil scorpions just burrowed about 4 inches down without and covered up the tunnel haha. Shes been chunky for a while, hope its a birth and not a molt.
