Yes Centruroides are bark scorpions. Theres a lot of them though. If you can give a location of where you found it, it would make it a lot easier to identify Smile

One of the common names for C. gracilis is the Florida bark scorpion. Yours is from Florida and looks like a C. gracilis so I'm going to say it is a C. gracilis lol.

Argh, i envy you so much Sad the most exiting animals we can find here are Vipera berus and some other reptiles, other than that theres just mammals!

But V. berus are one of the most awesome snakes lol. Males have been seen active in temperatures as low as 6c and theres pictures of them out and about when there is still patches of snow on the ground!! They are even found above the Arctic circle!!

I can't wait to head out in a month or 2 to my local adder spot to see the first males emerging.

Would be nice to have a bit more variety though aye lol.
