i have a pair of these,don't know much about them.but heres hoping i can get them to reproduce.

there's not much documentation out there on the husbandry of this species. very cool species though

Keep her dry and cool(no higher than 77F or so) and hopefully she will pop for you(She appears gravid) I used to have a bunch but they all died except one because I did not keep them dry and they were to warm.

It might actually need another molt and it might be a Bothriurus sp. now that I look at it again.

Here is a male Bothriurus keyserlingei to show how much they look alike


The only difference is the sternum shape is elongated like <> in all Bothriurus species.

Can these be kept communally? I keep one at temperatures ranging from 85F to 70F (day and night) and he/she eats like a beast!

Nice looking female Smoo!
The ones I kept at those temps all stopped eating and died but they might have been Bothriurus sp. and not Caraboctonus.
Personally I would not keep them in a colony but you can try but don't be surprized if some go missing.
