PostSubject: 3 new scorps to collection   10/13/2011, 6:38 pm

I just got my 3 new scorps that i ordered tuesday in
my Smeringurus mesaensis, a crazy looking scorp almost looks dangerous

My Vaejovis spinigerus, one of my favs reminds me of when i used to go scorp hunting in AZ, used to catch loads of these guys

and finally my Ophistothalmus glabrifrons

right now i have the v. spinigerus and glabrifrons in small scorp motels, and my Smeringurus in the tank that the SMP was supposed to go in, but plan by tommorow is to make my old SMP tank for the V. spinigerus, buy a smaller sized kritter keeper for the glabrifrons and get a 5 gallon for the Smeringurus and set it up for burrowing

Very nice choice of scorpion. I like the transparency of the Smeringurus.
How big is the Opistothalmus? Look pretty fat (premolt? Or possibly gravid?).

Great new additions there mate, I have all 3 so I should know lol nice O.g, looks very young as you've said, got lots of growing to do. Sort of looks like a P. cav LCF at that early stage yet adults look so different so should see some nice changes.

Great looking scorps, I love the Ophistothalmus glabrifrons, I was debating in getting a breeding pair myself.

Sorry, I couldn't give you an exact humidity. Mine seems to be doing ok, I've got it mostly dry with a moist corner with a waterbowl in that I overflow. Mines adult however and you may need it a little more moist for the molting.
