Babycurus jacksoni surprise

Woke up this morning to find that my B. jacksoni had given birth.
I didn't even know she was gravid , she showed no signs of it.
She wasn't bloated or anything looked just the same as she did when I got her about 2 to 3
months ago. Check out my pics to see if you think she looked gravid cause I really
didn't think she was. It appears to be a pretty good sized brood too maybe 25-30 of them.
Anyway pics of the brood to come soon. I just don't want to stress her out
now.

I've looked at a lot of gravid scorpions lately in these forums. I don't think she looks it either. What a surprise huh?

Definitely a surprise Annababe. I could see maybe a small brood but there is atleast 20 of them if not 30
so for that many and not to show at all is a complete shock to me. I've never encountered
this before, yes I've been shocked by a surprise brood but they were always small broods 5-15.
Even still those moms were a little pudgy. This 1 really showed no sings.

Yes they all appear to be of normal size.

I'm going to try to take a pic without stressing her.

They are sweet! I cant imagine being her in a normal state if you look at that brood. They must be kept somewhere inside her! Is she exceptionally large?

She was a little larger than most females that I've seen.
Def a lot bigger than the male I had, but as you prob know that isn't too unusual.

She looks fuzzy.

It has been 11 days since the mom had given birth and the first few of the babies are off and exploring. This was the first time I tried breeding these guys and it seems to be a success. They all appear to be healthy and look incredible.
I will post up some pics in the morning.

Yeah annababe they are quite beautiful and colorful.
