| Elo,
a bit bored and got a bit of time to kill (avoiding starting Uni work really haha) and wondered, has there has ever been a guess that scorpion game on this here mighty forum??
If not or, if there has but it died ages ago can we start one pleeeaaassse lol.
Alot of other forums have them and basically the rules are:
one person posts a picture of a scorpion (could also do it with other animals).
Other users then have to guess the species. Latin/ scientific preferably as common names are to general and not accurate enough.
The person who guesses correctly the species pictured then gets to post their own pic. People then try to guess what species it is pictured.
The game then just carries on like this for ever and ever and ever. Or until we run out of scorpions to identify.
The pictures don't have to show a full scorpion. The pic could be of just the pedipalps for instance. It just has to show enough features associated with the species for it to be correctly identified.
If no one is able to guess a particular species pictured, clues can be given by the person who posted the pic. If everyone is being really thick and can't guess the species after a few clues then the person who posted the last pic can either opt to put another pic up or, hand the batton to the person who put the most effort in and gave the closest answer.
It's a fun game (well I think so anyway lol) and it'll make a nice thread with lots of pretty pictures of scorpions on it. And we all love pictures of scorps lol.
Anyway just putting it out there to you lovely people. Good idea? Bad idea? Can I post the first pic yet lol??? |
