I'd be wary of that cactus. I know they encounter them in the wild, but I'm sure in the wild they injure themselves on them and no one ever knows...

You can always put in a fake cactus, too. Very cheap at your local pet store!

Nice start on your enclosure. I think you made a wise decision going with the artificial cactus. I've tried keeping live
plants in my haddy tank, aloe instead of cactus, and it hasn't worked very well. I embedded the bottom of a water
bottle in the substrate to hold the plastic pot containing the aloe. Each week, I replace the aloe in the tank with one
of three I keep on the window sill. In 2 months, I've lost 2 aloe. Artificial is the way to go.

Also, if you place the plant (real or artificial) in a low elevation, it will get buried. All that sand from the tunnels
needs to go somewhere.

a few more things i want to do add fake plant, maybe piece or two of bark he can crawl under and change the black sand to different color cuz it will just throw it around anyway. A haddys motto should be "I DEMAND ORDERED CHAOS!!!"
