| my bigger emp always runs and hides when i open the lid but attacks everything the only thing i havent seen it attack and try to eat was the juvinile emp i put in there
and i was wandering if my bigger one is suppose to eat alot he eats usually 2 or 3 crickets a day but yesterday i got meal worms for the first time and he ate one of those and 2 crickets in 4 hours while the little one was still eating its first cricket during that 4 hour period and the little one doesnt react to much or try and attack anything seems like the only thing it even reacts to is putting a cricket in its face but it eats suuper slow
is something wrong with my bigger scorpion he eats alot but i havent seen him get any fatter since iv had him

| try feeding them a garter snake, they will be topped up for a while. Considering, maybe even try a Eunectes. Never can be sure enough! | |

| how, exactly, is this scorpion telling you it is hungry? simply because it is eating the food it is given? you are overfeeding it. we are not lying to you.
im fairly sure everyone on here has had an emperor scorp at some point. i am surprised if my 2 (H. longimanus, pretty much the same care) eat more than perhaps 15 crickets a month between them.
if you ask for advice, please dont say its wrong when you get it.

| well, its how they catch food as it walks by ("lazy hunting"). i dont think they have an idea what "too full to eat" means... they just keep going until there is no room for organs... | |

i agree its overfeeding,i used to overfeed mine because mine would take all the crix i offered while it was claws open in its burrow.a couple of weeks of overfeeding and it went on a hunger strike and eats 3-4 crix a week now.dont freak out if your emp goes a long period of time without eating so it doesnt explode. it wouldnt get fat over night or over a week, getting fat takes time unless your Kyrstie Allie.
