We have some really big suckers down here.. Dunno what they are called in english but we call them 'hoornaars', check out the size on this nasty wingthing..

It is taken with a cellphone from a mile away... so sorry if its hazy:
The thing they're in is a full grown apple. Three of these ate the entire thing. Two of them fill the entire apple!
Hell, compare to the brave fly (which is a dungfly or whatever you call it, pretty big 1cm)!

Thanks Bex, so you have these too? They're more friendly than wasps really, but when they fly at you they sound like small airplanes for real. Brrr I get shivers from wasps.

I had wasps chew a hole through the roof, into the attic, (where they made a nest) and through the ceiling in my parents closet. My dad must have killed over a hundred with a fly swatter. We blocked the hole with some container for a day. (We filled the container with wasp killer and taped it to the ceiling) My uncle is an exterminator, so he took care of the wasps. So needless to say, I hate wasps. Evil or Very Mad
