Rasputin,

why do you think Hadrurochactas sp? There are no reports about Hadrurochactas in Argentina.

I would say it's an Urophonius species. Is the area known where the scorpion was collected?
I will check my paper on the Argentinian scorpion fauna for infos how to ID them at night.

this might help as well, it's a life list of scorpions in argentina. the problem is still that I can't find photodocumentation of any of the species that I was to see for comparison.

Maybe Urophonius exochus, I found another pic of one that looks similiar, but i cant find the link now. this link isnt the best but you can see the red on the tips of the claws and some of the pattern on them also..

I'm not too sure about that species but as far as genus it could be the same

After comparing the pics with some black & white pics in one of my papers I'm quite sure that it's an Urophonius sp.
I do have a key to ID the genus. But it's in Spanish. Should I just post it or send it via PM? I'm not sure about the copyright issues...When we know the genus I may have a key to determine the species too.
