| Cool. Is that a Damon diadema? I think it's a female. Males have very long pedipalps and females have shorter ones. The one in my avatar is a male. | |

I swear I must be one of the few people to like these. I was even at an insect/bug show at cornell and I somehow ended up holding one. The guy who I asked if I could handle it looked at me like I was some kind of freak and said: "Are you sure you want to handle it?" and the whole time he had a shocked expression on his face.

| Yea, it's not the danger or scary factor it's just that they are creepy and seem unnatural. | |

I have that problem with solifugids (Wind scorpions, wind spiders, camel spiders, sun spiders, sun scorpions, whatever you want to call them) I just think they are kind of creepy. They also eat scorpions and can run up to 10 mph, so thats part if it.

| i'm not sure on the species mate, i've narrowed it down to Damon. they walk like a crab, but make random darts forwards, which is very fast.
they don't seem right, you'd think it was an insect since it uses it's front legs as antenae

| The legends are funny. They can however run up to 10 mph and some have five inch legspans. - *~BEX~* wrote:
