Im having a hard time getting my humidity up for my Emp. I had it at about 80 but lately im struggling to keep it above 60. I am misting daily and have also added a second little bowl of water to try and bring it up. The only thing i havent tried is adding a plant or putting plastic wrap on half of the top to trap moisture. What is the humidity i should be aiming for and what little tricks have you guys used to keep your humidity fairly stable?

i have installed a false bottom in my viv using some store bought aquarium gravel. then i bought a plastic pvc tube with a lid that goes all way down through the substate and into the gravel. you simply keep the bottom with all the gravel watered and moist from underneath and i've found i've rarely ever had to mist in there yet and my humidity is at roughly 80-85%

+1 false bottom. I mist the moss every now and then, but the false bottom takes care the humidity very well.

You should have the humidity aroun 85-90%. Try putting plastic wrap to cover at least 2/3 of the top. Another option is to get plexiglass cut so that it fits in the inside lip of the tank, and so that it also covers at least 2/3 of the top. You then put the screen top back on the tank. (If this is unclear I can post pics) And yes a false bottom setup also works great for keeping the humidity up.

Along with my false bottom i also keep a sheet of aluminum foil wrapped tight across the lid to keep the moisture in. every few hours i'll open up the lid to let some fresh air in and let the condensation clear from the glass.
