Crickets don't live very long as adults and die off pretty quickly. You also have to make sure they have food and a water source, kept above 70 degrees F, and it helps if they have some material to climb inside, like egg carton or empty toilet paper rolls.

As far as the babies in your scorp tank, you will probably have to clean out the tank and redo it with new substrate.

you dont have to redo everything.just put a couple of straws propped up against the water bowl so they climb and fall into the water to a watery grave.i had babies in my sub at one point and they died off without doing the straw thing or a sub change.
anna covered you on the dying crix.water source for em can be a potatoe, water crystals, hydrating gel for crix at petstores.
im sick of crickets myself and debating breeding roaches.

Neat trick! Did you read that somewhere? It makes sense cuz they are so dumb lol. I found an adult cricket in the shallow water bowl dead yesterday..........he could have easily hopped out of it.
