almost 100% sure it's Euscorpius italicus Very Happy
if it is, don't worry about it, the sting is pathetic and they seldom use it!!

Thanks Bex and Tom, Italicus it is, then!
The locals also told me that it was quite harmless. I personally find it very beautiful in a scorpion-archetypal kind of way...

What should I feed him? He seems to like crickets... I give him water - is that necessary? Is Italicus in any way interesting for collectors?

Italicus is interesting for me lol. My lonely girl needs a mate Very Happy .

Crickets are a perfect food for him (it looks like a him anyway because of its larger sting), give him a small dish of water and make sure he has plenty of places to hide in his enclosure. They are a really easy species to care for and are definately one of my favourites.

Great! I have the female with babies too... Let's see what we can do if they make it through to adulthood.
