I never see my girl anymore! She's always hiding. I think perhaps she's TOO happy haha! I guess that's a good thing. I know they enjoy climbing, "opportunist" climbers as someone put in another thread I read a while back.

Would someone recommend a small "log" sort of limb setup, some sort of short, thin (not too thin) that reaches across a small portion of the terrarium? I figured this would give her something to do and explore a bit more, as well as get out a bit more. Maybe make her environment seem a bit more "normal"?

I had a hollow log and I recomend people not use them since you'll never see your scorp again. They willl do just as fine with some climbs and hides. But it sounds like your doing a good job.

My four males are in a communal tank with several climbs and a hide, and I usually see three out at once. They're all capable of sharing the hide, too.

Maybe she's shy? Smile

Here's a shot of the males' setup, back when it held C. hentzi.

(The hide is the coconut shell.)

It probably helps that some of the males like hanging out between the driftwood and the side of the tank -- but one was dumb and got his tail caught until I freed him. Rolling Eyes

She came out last night for the first time in a while. I took a few minutes away from the xbox and dinner and went over to admire it. I filled up the little water bowl and she went over to get some water and hunt. She is VERY skittish and seemingly sensitive. It's weird, she sees me near the terrarium and she'll go back in her hide unless i approach slowly. Never had a scorpion do that. Perhaps it's the vibration from walking that turns her off. That's my assumption (scorpions have horrible eyesight and i'm not THAT ugly so.... LOL!)

It was just cool to see her out and about.

Most scorpions will skitter when the humans approach. It's a pretty basic survival instinct.

I saw from the door the other night 4 scorplings playing in thier water "lid" and I went slowly and tried to see but oh no...they all scattered and hid.

Sometimes you have to be VERY VERY slow to get a looksie hehehe
