One more molted ( no pics this time - sorry). So I'm up to 2 females now. Now I'm anxiously waiting for the third one to molt. Let's hope I'll be lucky enough it's a male.

Thanks, tfleming. This one's the larger of the two and has been growing much faster than the other one.
I'm going to be monitoring them for aggression for the next few weeks, as the individual above is more than twice the size of it's cage mate. (If any aggression is noticed, they will be separated.)

Great scorpions you have, i hope you get your male, iv got two young emperors and hoping i'll be lucky enough to have one of each Im also going to take some pix of my scorps molts you've done a brill job with your pix.

It's a partial sequence just to show the "maneuvers" she did to free herself. Main purpose was to spice up our ASA caresheets.

There might be easier way to do this but basically the following steps are how i did it:

1. Basically, you need to have stable shots from your camera at different time intervals of the molting. Best is to use a tripod so that the background of the scorpion stays constant. For the above partial molting sequence of the forest scorpion, i didn't have time to sit around the whole molt and neither do i have a tripod.. so i hold on to my position, lean my body to the table and anchoring my hands to stablize my aim and start the burst shots once she started moving.. took about 15 shots to compile a short gif.

2. I used photoshop so that i can add in some text. A template of 450 pixel by 450 pixel is created and the different shots are added in progressively (e.g. Sequence1.jpg to Sequence9.jpg) and uploaded to photobucket.

3. I used the slideshow function of photobucket to create the smooth transitions or simply use any of the online gif creator.

& Done!
