| so im glad i chose the one right scorpion and she has produced 15-25 scorplings in the night she was home.now ive got some questions. 1. i was going to get a 2.5gallon just for the mom, would a 5 gallon be good for this lil family? 2.how long should they stay with their mother? 3. whats the growing up prcess, instars and such? 4. how long before i could ship em out? 5. how do you package em? 6. how do you guys go about getting them sent out? 7. who wants some centruroides exilicauda?! 8. and how are you invert lovers going to pay for shipping how does that all work?
9. i was gonna keep em on sand and moss mix.but now im leaning towards a mix of eco earth, cypress mulch and sphnagnum moss to help with the humidity for the future molts and i readily have excess of that available from my emps and python.of course tons of bark to climb (dont worry ill get creative). does the mix sound good?

| They will stay on mom's back until approx. a week after their first molt. You should make sure they all eat, but from there they are ready to ship. You're going to need to culture some fruit flies. In the meantime, leave mom and the babies alone so you don't stress her out. | |

| well im getting the permanent enclosure today to set up and move her and babies into. the temp enclosure is pathetic.its an empty plastic doggie treat container with gravel at the bottom,a dry leaf and some bark.its also tiny as well, not a place id wanna raise children to be killers..i was thinking of moving the bark momma is attached to in the new enclosure.
fruit flies?wtf do i get those? i was told by someone that keeps these in az baby crickets in the tank when the scorplings are off the back.

| Plutonian crack says no problem! Shiny fruitflies are however really smell and even better suited, it's just not too easy to get them i thought, and I hate their guts too..

hmmm when they are old enough to ship i could possibly trade species with somebody as well huh? like a handful of barks for a tarantula?thatd be cool

| thanks. just an arrowhead jug lid with gravel dumped around and in it,nothing special. substrate is eco earth, sphnagnum moss, and cypress mulch mixed,we need that extra humidity.momma scorp needs her extra hydration and babies need their moisture for future molts.
i just had an epiphany!!!! im going to line the entire back wall with vertical placed bark so everyone has a climbing spot and it doubles as a background yay.
