I feel left out.

I want to go scorpion hunting so bad, but the only downfall is there are only two specie of scorpion that live in Ga that I know of. It's like a itch I can't scratch.

If I'm not mistaken, the one near me is a simply bark scorpion, and the other lives further south.

Sounds like the perfect opportunity to become an expert about those 2 scorpions...

Here is a picture of one I found in a leaf pile.. not sure what the latin name for it is but I believe it's a bark scorpion.

YOU feel left out?! here we have ZERO species of scorpions in the wild, only pseudoscorpions that are found here and there.

Kinda sucks to have only boring wildlife, like moose, deers, etc

We do have these adders tho, Vipera berus

That's viper is awesome. If I seen that it would be captured.

Here in Scotland we get adders but you'll never find one. Other than that....nothing. A wasp pr a tiny spider. Ace..... Lol

Yes it is, and they are venomous, they have venom in their pincers.

Those are cool. Never heard of em. Do you catch em?

The ones here are really small, dont know what to give them to eat, so theres no way of keeping them.

Says on wiki they eat larvae, ants and probably pinheads. be interesting to see how they live. They do look tiny.

The species here are smaller than ants, they wouldnt stand a chance.

This was actually one of the largest I've ever caught. He was probably about a good two inches, stretched out. This is a very small specie. I have heard though, they can make you sick if you get nailed by them. As always I exercise extreme caution when handling them.

I think it was a Vaejovis carolinianus now that I've looked at pictures of both.

It is V. carolinianus. Look at that non buthid thick tail! They aren't particularly potent either.

Yep. I will surely say that's a V. Carolinianus. I have been looking for those around here to add to my collection but have been unsuccessful.
