So the last 4 months iv started up a few breeding projects Very Happy

Oh the joy of breeding, comes some down sides also Sad Non the less, heat matts are out, humidity is going up, and all is looking promising Smile

The girls that have been bred are

Poecilotheria formosa (2 females)
Pterinochilus murinus RCF (1 female)
Psalmopeus cambridgei (2 females)
Grammostola rosea RCF (not enough bred in my opinion) (1 female)
Grammostola porteri (Grammostola rosea NCF, again not enough bred) (2 females)
Lampropelma violaceopes (1 female)
Avicularia avicularia (4 females)

The girls that are looking promising

Poecilotheria formosa (1 x female)
Pterinochilus murinus (1x female)
Psamopeus cambridgei (2 x females)
Grammostola rosea RCF (1 x female)
Grammostola porteri (1 x female)
Avicularia avicularia (2 x female) the other 2 moulted out

the only males that survived were the

Psalmopeus cambridgei
Grammostola rosea RCF
Avicularia avicularia

R.I.P to the other little guys (horny when they left, lock the girls away spidey heaven)

I have a couple of pics of the breeding, the others i never caught as they co-habited with each other Wink

The first one is on my adorable Poecilotheria formosa female, who really is not looking so cute here, beings she has a mouthful of the male here bless him, dont be diuscouraged by this, it happens and infact this is the girl showing good sighns of being VERY gravid Smile

Breeding projects so far :) Poeci

And here is the cute couple OBT RCF's, even though he was munched also Sad

Breeding projects so far :) Breed1

She is also looking very promising Smile

and here is a picture of the mature male, with the females moult, she was 2 moults on when they bred, so that should give you an idea to how big she was in comparison with him

Breeding projects so far :) 301_3590

with abit of luck, this years breeding will turn out to be good Smile

Great pictures, quite an addition to this forum!
Spiders are more cruel than scorpions. Fact!

Good luck with the raising... If my metallica female ever should eat my male, I'm going to use her as a tennisball.

well it depends what you mean by bred or just mated, in this instance, they have only been mated, and looking promising...

But yes nearly all, including the P.murinus RCF/P.formosa you see here has laid a couple of sacks in there time.

Well i appear to be in my living room lol, norfolk mate !
