i got a little obt at the bts show for £1.50
anyway..
today it's molted and is like double the size and very orange on the rump
leading onto a question:
do they eat the old skin? i think they do :/ just checking

Well, they don't eat their old skin. But freshly moulted they give you the idea they are eating it, because they might suck some fluids out, that were still in it to recuperate faster.

True story, I have seen my metallica do it rather visciously.

You dont NEED to take the skin out, it'll eventually just get smashed into tiny bits but then again there's no reason to NOT take it out.

My OBT usually webs it into part of the retreat. It looks crazy when you peer into a tunnel made out of spider husks.

Can't you put in little bugs and they will eat it?

Crickets might munch on it a bit, but they never last long enough to start.

i think he means those little dermestid beetles. they eat anything, the spids eat them though i tried putting 1 in each, they all got attacked and eaten
