Presumed male spits out 1 baby after 10.5 months????

Hi all,

Strange thing happened today... One of my Emp's which I swore was a male (large pectines) now has one single baby on it's back, after 10 months and 6 days from when I bought it (7/17/10). If it is a female, can the gestation period go that long? And what's up with the one single baby? It's still a little fat, but it's walking around now like it's done spitting out kids. Could there still be more on the way? I have another Emp in a different enclosure also currently giving birth, but she's been in her birth stance working on hers for over a day now. It just doesn't add up to me. Any explanations, opinions, anything at all would be appreciated.

gestation can be anything from 8-18 months depending on temperature and food availabilty

dunno about just the one baby though jamie had a simular experience with his desert hairy just spat out one single baby its weird!

we currently have (well what we originaly thought) 2 females and one male, however after putting them in together one of the so called females is doing that juddering thing that i thought only males did? can anyone clarify if it is indeed just the males that do the juddering as we was quite sure that we had 2 females before we put them in, now we have 2 judderers lol

oh and could be more on the way our e.flav just took 3-4 days to give birth

No names as yet might just all then 1,2 and 3 oh and 4 and 5 hopefully a of tomorrow

They all do the juddering thingy cause its territorial. They both do it when engaging mating as well.

awesome thank you for clearing that up, its just that one (thats deffo female) doesnt judder at all, and the male deffo judders and the one we was sure was female was juddering too, so now im wondering why our other female doesnt judder lol

well it took a couple of days, but she finally spit out some more pups... very strange though still.
