| I had a nightmare of a day yesterday. Between the anxiety of waiting, a wrong address on the part of the shipper, and a communication breakdown between the carrier and the delivery driver, I ended up frantically driving to the other end of the valley to pick up my package just eight minutes before they closed for the night.
My scorps were scheduled for 10:30 am delivery. At 10:15 I received a call from the carrier saying that they needed to confirm my address as my package had a non existing address on it. I gave them my addy and they assured me that my package would still be delivered that day.
At 3:00 pm it still had not arrived. I called customer service once again to make sure that my package was still out for delivery that day. They said it was but that the driver had until eight pm to deliver it.
At 6:30 pm I decided to track my package online. It said that it was at the hub, and no longer out for delivery. I called customer service and the terrible woman I spoke with basically told me that the driver didn't get the message with my correct address and that he came back to the hub. The package would be delivered first thing in the morning. I told her that would be unacceptable and that the driver still had an hour and a half to get it to me. She then informed me that I was at fault here. She said they had left me a message and that by the time I corrected my address it was too late. Well, I had spoken with a colleague of hers at 10:15 am and had corrected my address then in person, and was also assured that my package would be delivered same day by two people.
This was the point that the unpleasant troll woman told me that I could pick up my package at the facility but that they close at seven pm. It was 6:40 at this point. We jumped in the car and raced on the freeway to get to a place we had never been before. I was able to pick up the package with a few minutes until close.
Inside this package were my four Mesobuthus Martensii. The heat pack was cold as ice, and the tubs had chunks of wood bark junk on the bottom with one brown paper towel over the top of the scorps. Terrible packing. terrible substrate.
When I got them home and could open the tubs I found that every one has mycosis on their feet and legs, and I do believe that one of them will probably not make it for more than a day or two before dying. It is having a hard time getting around, reminding me of an arthritic old man that hobbles along just waiting for the inevitable.
The other three seem to be getting along fine, two of which have eaten since arriving.
All in all this was a wretched experience and I will not be doing business with this supplier again. Oh, and sorry for the rant to anyone that read through this whole thing. I tend to get a bit verbose when I'm angry...

| Mine all have mycosis one guy is with paralised chelae and a paralised back leg. But they're doing fine apart from that. How cold was it there? These guys can stand pretty low temps. Mine were in the baggage compartment of a bus for 18 hours or so at around 10-12F with non-functioning heatpacks and they had no problems. | |

| What a [does your mother know you talk like that?] up story Street...
Did you contact the seller afterward? Seems to me that shipping specimen in such a condition should be regarder as deceit. What was his name?
In case noone else here has the same experiences!
Postal services are no bright point in most countries. At least you solved it. As for taking care of those scorps.... I dont know man, mycosis... i think i would euthanase them if they dont get better after 2 weeks of intense heating. Normally its RIP anytime soon.
Some people have solved mycosis by doing this... good luck

| you should deffo name the seller and post a proper trader review in the trade section just so no one else goes through the same That sucks he should never have sent them in that condition in the first place, the delivery problems on top is just stupid, i hate it when stupid employees try to blame the customer, and talk to you like crap, bet they wouldnt hold on to them for long if they knew what was in the package lol, i darent tell my posty incase he freaks out lol | |

| Oh and my Haddy has had mycosis for the over a year I've had her. Kept her warm and completely dry, just getting her water from a tiny cap every month and it hasn't spread one bit but your case does sound worse because it doesn't affect mine at all. | |

| well ours was freaked out when id ordered the girls some of those gogo hamster things for xmas and he was wallking around with them squeking and making all sorts of noises lol was hilarious, so not to sure he would like to know he was carrying live scorpions, most people have the wrong impressions of scorpions and inverts, i think they have generally been portrayed quite badly lol | |

| Well I should mention that I generally try to deal locally, but with having so few people that keep scorps it is hard to find things sometimes. When I order online I try to order from the same reputable sellers, but this time I decided to take a gamble and order from a reptile shop I've never ordered from before.
I guess we'll see what happens in the coming days. I do plan on contacting the shop after I've cooled down a bit. If nothing else than to school them on how to keep their animals.
