| Hello all, well I just noticed I've been on here a year since yesterday so thought I'd make a thread to show how my arachnid rack has progressed and evolved over this past year. I know it hasn't come nearly as far as some people collections but I think it's still interesting to see in one place. Also I don't think I've done bad for a year It all started with this, my faithful Hadrurus arizonensis, still going strong despite mycosis from before I got her. Then pretty much straight away I added a baby Hadogenes paucidens which has only moulted once in the year and really not grown much. Also added my Hoffmannius spinigerus at this point. Now this is where what species I added when is sort of a blur Luckily I labelled this one, quite a jump from the last here. Cheers. This was while doing a rebuild on the new rack. My room felt full of tanks at this point! And this is just after re-building the new rack, and the latest pic I've got. There's some new additions since and some new tanks on the way so I will update, wish I'd got more pictures of the whole lot along the way. Cheers and feel free to post your aRACKnids | |

| Wow thats really interesting to see, it is mad when you change things round when we did ours recently it was only then with all the tanks piled up together we really realised we have a problem lol, back to scorpaholics anonymous for us lol how do you sleep at night with the light and noise? | |

| I know, it's not until you sit back and look at the bigger picture you realise how addicted you are, see you at scorpaholics I'd be dangerous with more space, I see me adding alot more yet though. Feels like I got the desert hairy then blacked out and woke up with a room full of tanks lol well sort of, I've had beardies for as long as I can remember. If I had the time again now I'd probably just have a wall of arachnids, I always think how many I could have in the place of 3x 4foot vivs but I could never let them go. As for the lights, the beardies are on timers that turn off in the evening and I stopped using lamps of the inverts for that reason. Now I just have a big heat matt at the back of each shelf and tape the backs of the tanks to em so they're all on heat mats atm. Hadrurus, Pandinus, Heterometrus do bug me with their tapping away at times | |

| That is getting a pretty lengthy list!
I envy your spirit keeping all those healthy. I am too lazy to have so many different species. This is why I choose some, and I stick with them (usually couples though, for the breeding aspect). I try to get to know that species inside out.
I noticed if I have many different species, I tend to have favourites and the other ones get left behind a bit. So this is why I only pick my favorite top 3. But as I said, that is just my personality and I admire people who can look after so many!
Anyway, great collection!
Cheers! | |

| Yeah I know what you mean but I think because my whole collection is in one place right were I am alot of the time I keep a good eye on 'em all. I'm always left thinking hmm what can I do now I do want to start keeping more of each species though for breeding attempts like you say, I've got a couple lined up. Nice Bex, got any pics where can see most your collection in one? I like seeing peoples whole collections. Oh yeah, that reminds me I was meaning to ask you if any of your P.imps are gravid or likely to be? I don't even have an emp lol or if anyone in the UK's Pimps have popped let me know | |
