| They are minging things. They like a deep substrate and will dig a chamber out and live in it. They need a decent humidity and like it warm but not too hot. Mine used to grab crix and eat them in the chamber but the dirty buggers always ate a bit of cricket/ roach and just dump the rest. The enclosure stunk and was a breeding ground for bacteria, fungus and scuttle flies. Interesting animals but too high maintainence for someone of my lazy nature. | |

| Same thing. Common names are crap. People can easily get things mixed up. Better off sticking with scientific names. | |

Glad it helped! Yeah, I wasn't able to provide you with any info because I was confused as to which one you meant I'm still deciding on which one is uglier haha Strangely enough, I still want one of each

| Two sites I found selling some:
Sells vinegaroon: http://www.virginiacheeseman.co.uk/scorpions-c-32.html?osCsid=d208ad5e0aa010b92b3b06b280d1d8ec
Sells whip scorpion: http://www.bugzuk.com/scorpions.php?page=3
I don't know how reputable they are though.

| Just to clear up the terms for everyone...
Order Amblypygida: Whip Spiders AKA Tailless-Whip Scorpions sometimes called Cave Crabs or Giant Crab Spiders.
Order Thelyphonida: Whip Scorpions AKA Vinegaroons i.e the ones with the aerial sticking out at the end and the 'boxing gloves.'
Cheers & best regards | |
