A few of the nicer pics of my scorpions . . . I hope you enjoy! :-)

Pandinus imperator

Heterometrus longimanus

All of the babies mysteriously died. Crying or Very sad

The local forest scorpion, Uroctonus mordax

A molt later:

Hadogenes paucidens

Mystery scorpion, currently assuming to be Centruroides exilicauda

He's a feisty one with prey! I need to photograph that eventually.

Centruroides hentzi

Babycurus jacksoni

My dearly-departed Parabuthus liosoma

Another scorpion since passed, Heterometrus laoticus

Thank you all! Here's a few more for you: these are the guys I picked up at a show a couple of weeks ago.

What do you know! The show I went to today actually had something besides emps! Very Happy (Actually, there weren't any emps.) I got one of every species they had.

1.0.0 Centruroides excilicauda, "Gertchi" morph

This one died a couple days ago Sad but I emailed the dealer and I can get a replacement at the next show at the end of Februrary.

0.1.0 Hadrurus arizonensis

This one the guy said was gravid -- I know chances are virtually nil that they'll survive, but I figure it's worth a shot.

1.0.0 Vaejovis spinigerus

I guess the Hadrurus doesn't like being prodded.

Here's my gravid B. jacksoni -- she's plumped up a bit since I took this photo a week ago.

I need to get a shot of my gravid C. hentzi -- she looks about ready to EXPLODE!

That thought had entered my mind. If I wasn't so zoomed in, you could have seen the cricket he was going all grabby-palps for. Razz

A good black light + natural ambient light = cool photographic effects. Wink
