B. boehmei sling humidity...w/ pics...

Do I provide the correct humidity for my sling?
I just mist the walls 2 times a week.
Isn't it too dry?
It's not in pre-molt but my concern is that the humidity may be too low and it would have a bad molt someday.

It looks a little dry for a sling. Just mist the cage a little more, and it should be fine.
I usually offer a small, plastic water bottle cap for a water dish. (If you do this, make sure it's not too big for the sling.)

I always keep my slings on slightly moist substrate.
I was told just to mist the walls for a GBB sling, and I lost it to a bad molt.

It could be just coincidence though, I'm no T expert.

Yes keep it a little more humid.


also dolbyR , if you ever have a T that likes dry substrate just overfill a bottle cap or whatever dish you have for water and if you happen to catch it molting or suspect it soon I usually run hot water over a rag and squeeze it out and place over the encloser...usually once I place the rag on they molt in about 30mins to an hour...works great

The GBB I was talking about was 2i or 3i. I usually don't like keeping a bottle cap for that small.

TBH I've never worried about humidity. Lost VERY few spiders of any age to moult problems and everything here is kept pretty dry.
I've been keeping/ breeding them for around 20 years.
