My little Red Claw has kicked the bucket. The smallest and youngest of them all. Sad

Not a clue. It was probably a 3i judging from the size of it. The cause I suspect was parasites, they're common in wild caught specimens and the way it died points towards parasites.

It had outright refused food since I bought him, but he was pretty active, and then all of a sudden just stopped moving and ceased to function. Not a nice way to go. Crying or Very sad

Really not long, so I'm pretty peeved about it. I think I had him a month or so. Thankfully the Emperor I bought on the same day is still going strong. Very Happy

I need to find a seller that breeds them instead of getting them in the wild. They last much longer.

I'm going to preserve him in a block of resin, but until I get my hands on some, he's in the freezer.

holy crap, contagious parasite/sickness going around?!

now for your DH is the tail flat and curved to the side like mine was? ( I think you were the one who told me if its on the floor and curved to the side its normal, but straight back like a stick is bad?)

Wild caught by the shop, if I went out hunting them I'd have a pretty damn hard time getting them back from Africa. Wink

And yeah, they always say if it dies or if I'm not happy with it then return it, but in a weird way I'd rather keep it.

I'm definitely going to get another Red Claw, as they're an interesting little species, but I'll make sure it's bred.

Mine was only like an Emp in body shape.

Behaviour wise he was quite active and chipper.

Yours being bred there's probably zero chance of parasites so yours will live through to adulthood Smile well... Provided you take care of it. Wink
