| Sweet been waiting for these. I know that I wish I got scorpions for valentines day! Wow that's really not what I expected from the Brachistosternus, like you say I was expecting a much lighter colour. I've just had a thought (and it is only a thought, I've never seen a Brachistosternus sternus in person so I can't be sure) you know you said you ordered Bothriurus keyserlingi by accident, well I just looked on the site and he's put up large Bothriurus keyserlingi. Now to me your scorp looks very much like a scorpion I had a little while ago called Bothriurus coriaceus. Just got me thinking maybe he's sent you an adult B. keyserlingi by accident (it's not like it hasn't happened already like the Scorpio maurus thing). What you think, possible? I dunno, it just looks totally different to the pic of Brachistosternus sternus. The Caraboctonus sp. looks very keyserlingi to me, the palps now look more red in your pics. It's definitely a young one. Anyway both lovely scorpions whatever the species! | |

| Well what happen with the order was Luke ordered 2 small b.keyserlingi but he was out of stock so we chose to have one Brachistosternus instead so don't really know lol I'll post it in ID section and see what peeps say it's a gorgeous scorp but was expecting a deserty yellow one *also it def says B,sternus on the tub where before when he got it wrong the tub was still correctly named to the species inside lol | |

| Wow, that's a damn fine look scorp you've got there. Probably one of the best coloured ones I've seen.
Also, the Caraboctonus' tub looks like a chocolate I was eating before...

| Quick update the B.sternus has got it's tall flat most of the time is extremely slow and sluggish and drags it's tail when moving was hoping it was just the stress of transport but it has not improved, just drank a loads of water though.... I hope it perks up but right now it looks like it's dying I was also suprised they was shipped with a heat pack as i thought these could tolerate cold conditions... Quite how cold I don't know though | |

Looking through pictures of Brachistosternus there are some of darker ones floating about, they seem to vary alot. Also I can't find one picture for Brachistosternus sternus mainly B. negrei, B. castroi etc. Just looks so different to the bugz picture, which is weird because the Caraboctonus sp. is the same one as in the pic. Hope it's perked up this morning. - GS wrote:

| We think your actually correct jamie we have done some searching and he def seems more Bothriurus Have just been on Virginia cheesemans site an she has a " Talca scorpion" Bothriurus burmeisteri and it's exactly the same as ours!! So has he messed up our order again we have not said anything to him yet fund it hard to believe he could make this mistake Also the little guy I still alive seems ok ATM another thing we noticed while searching the species was that in almost every picture they seemed to keep there tail relatively flat so maybe it's common with them I don't know This is our scorp Compared to this on her site Pics a bit blurry prly best to go on the site lol http://www.virginiacheeseman.co.uk/talca-scorpion-bothriurus-burmeisteri-adult-p-730.html | |

| Oh sorry didn't see it here first.
It's weird though because on the scorpion files there's only keyserlingi in Caraboctonus or is this not all the species.

| If it's the gallery you are looking in it doesn't include all species
**edit I just went on and it does seem keyserlingi is the only species listed under Caraboctonus hmmm I'm now confused lol
