Found one of my emps passed away Crying or Very sad I had a male and two females and one of the females died.

If I got a new female to put in there would the other two be cool with it since they were used to a third scorpion being in there? I really don't feel like cleaning the tank out and moving everything around, but I also don't want just two in there, its just not the same.

they may, they may not, only one way to find out. try to get one that is roughly the same size or bigger than the other 2 so they don't pick on her too much.

you wouldn't have to completely clean the tank out. Just mix the substrate a little and move the hides to different locations. Then introduce all of the scorpions into the enclosure together.

I agree with Vin, but you are running the greatest chance at loosing a scorp this way. I'm sorry to say the best bet is to remove all scorps and mix the substrate up and reorganize. It is time for Spring cleaning anyways right?
Then as said before, reintroduce all scorps at the same time.
You could go the riskier avenue successfully but doing some spring cleaning is by far your best bet and will produce much better chances of success.
Good luck and keep us up to date. Sorry for your loss as well

+1, sorry for your loss it sucks when you loose one Sad

it would only take a few minutes to rearrange, is it really worth the risk of not doing it when it would be so easy to do?? The will dig new burrows easily and u could prly get away with leaving the plants and changing round them Smile

Sorry for your loss...
You could still remove the plants and pot them and bury them in with the pots. That way, if you need to make a major substrate change, it would be easier to remove/move them.

+1 on this one! I don't use potting soil for substrate either, just like coco fiber (thats my only reason), but if I bury the pot rather than planting the plant right in the substrate you can use potting soil without it mixing too much with the rest of the substrate.
Other big reason is as DolbyR says Very Happy I guess I have rehoused too many times, it's easier to just move the plants around this way Very Happy

That sucks, what I did was rearrange my tank and then put in my scorpions. I was adding 2 to a tank of 2.

I know what it's like to lose one... Sad
