P trans care sheet?

Could anyone teach me the basics on how to take care of a parabuthus transvaalicus?im about to buy one and cant find a good care sheet info bout them..

Thanks for posting up GS I'll get another take on the species as I don't recall reading the care sheet on the venom list. I had another one but the server is down and only have a printed copy.

In my opinion, i think as long you keep it dry.. shouldn't be a prob while you are able to get hold of some sand. If you wish to save some money, you can get "self-collect" some sand too, just make sure you "bake/microwave" them to kill of any harmful parasites that might be in them.

Some keepers will offer a water bowl/ mist a side of the tank once every 2 weeks or a month etc.. just make sure if you mist, the water will be fully evaporated within 1-2days.. else.. its too damp and you need to change the substrate.

A bit more complicated than raising an emp..hehe,thanks for the help..ill just post here if i have some question..hope you lot answer it again..thanks

Finally got my p trans now..and her is tail freaking awesome! Im tempted to feed her and see the tail in action..but the seller told me to feed it after a week..dang must resist temptation!

Got a question..is it ok if i use course sand the one used in most aquarium?or i should buy a much finer sand?

I guess it'll be good to have a mixture. If your P. Trans is able to burrow through the sand and hide itself under a flat stone/log you provide. It should be ok.

scroll down all the way, its way at the bottom Did a quick search for you and found that link. hahaz

It amazing to watch them grow.. each time when they molts, their tail size is an increase of up to 1.7times its original size.. in the little experience i had with them.

If you have the patience (which i dont sometimes ) you can get them at 2i, cheaper and you can monitor their instar stages.

Have fun, but exercise caution when dealing with them.

the first pics are removed..the only pic there is the chela part..my ptrans chela looks slim hope its a female..

yeah im being extra careful with them..the fun part for me is watching them grow..
