PostSubject: What substrate should I use for my Brazilian White Knee?    11/10/2010, 11:33 pm

Hey guys just asking what substrate is best used for my Brazilian White Knee?

I've been hearing 60% peat moss 40% coco fibre. Or the other way around. Pretty confused.

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Found this simple care guide on them: http://www.arachnopets.com/tarantulas/tcaresheets/ageniculatac.htm

The sources I read suggest that coco-fiber is fine as substrate or sterilized potting soil.

Alright thank you so much.

Wow full grown adult is HUGE at 7 - 9 inches long.

Also for a 1 inch Brazilian White Knee, is it fine to house them in a 13'' by 7'' by 7'' cage?

Sure, that's fine. As long as it's able to catch its prey and feed, it's good Smile
