Here is what I have so far of my Centruroides gracilis setup:

C. gracilis setup DSC00092

C. gracilis setup DSC00093

It initially housed my asian forest scorpions, but I've just converted it somewhat for my C. gracilis. I'm hoping to add more vertical hides/decor for them.

looks very good but it kinda looks a bit on the wet side
just make sure that you have good ventilation for them Wink

you should add more veritcals for them they like to hide alot
and they change hiding places alot as well so the more the better
but that should work out pretty well for C.gracilis with a setup like that

Don't worry about ventilation, there is a mesh top for it. This is a 10 gallon enclosure and yes, those are live plants. Like I said in the post, I will be adding more vertical hides and I'll be lining some cork bark at the back of the tank as well Smile
It's actually not that wet, it's my camera phone and its flash--everything looks a bit saturated as you can see. And yes, I'm well aware that they're bark scorpions Wink
It's all still in the works, but I'm hoping to hold quite a few in there in the future.

By the way, I lucked out and found a cork bark tree at my school. I'm gonna grab me some Cool

Yes, they're on B. dubia but I will probably switch to B. lateralis.

My bad mate..
oh wait... yours is "bubble" gum..
i was refering to "chewing" gum.. different elasticity.. Razz

H. laoticus:
B.lateralis is not a bad choice too.. i have a small growing colony.. given to me by a good friend Smile
As you already know mate, they require little attention and can grow fast too.

GS: Nice, always sweet to get freebies Smile
Yes, I definitely want to switch to B lats because they don't burrow, are soft, and are active. This allows my scorpions to hunt for their prey instead of starving because B dubia burrow and hardly move!

Update on my C. gracilis, guys/gals:
Remember I said I was going to take some cork bark from a local tree? Well I tried and failed miserable. I did not expect cork bark to be so stiff and immovable on a tree.
However, I didn't come home empty-handed. I happened across another type of tree with the type of bark I was looking for. I don't know what type of tree it is, but they're plenty where I live and provide the perfect hides for my bark scorpions.

Here are the pieces I stripped off of the tree which I have baked in the oven:
C. gracilis setup DSC00121

C. gracilis setup DSC00123

As you can see, they're pretty nice, thin pieces unlike the large, bulky cork bark.
C. gracilis setup DSC00139

I decided to line the bark pieces along the back side of my tank--here's what I did with them:
C. gracilis setup DSC00169

Here's what my C. gracilis used them for Very Happy :
C. gracilis setup DSC00168

It was impressive to see them eating while hanging upside down; for being so small, they're quite powerful and skilled to be able to catch such large crickets:
C. gracilis setup DSC00165

C. gracilis setup DSC00161

Here's a pic of one of my smaller C. gracilis eating in its deli cup. Once again, they seem to love eating while hanging upside down which is fine with me Smile :
C. gracilis setup DSC00171

Hope you guys/gals enjoyed!
