Here's a caresheet on them: http://www.thegreenscorpion.com.au/showcon.toy?cid=59417

The substrate can be sand and shouldn't be wet, but you should read the caresheet as the guy knows what he's talking about Smile

So if the substrate shouldn't be wet the how does the scorpion
Chose it's preferd humidity because one of the ways to keep it
Is on a false bottom also as this scorpion is a uranducas species
Then how does it molt.
Also then if it no wet substrate how does it burry it self like it
Does in the wild to get to a cooler and more moist environment because
On the caresheeet posted is says that it digs to get to a more moist and cooler
Environment

scorps will only moult when they think the conditions are right, dont mist the whole tank just pray a corner of it, they need around 50% humidity which you can achive with no misting atall i use 60% sand and 40% dry coco fibre, it keeps its slightly damp and they can burrow where it will be more moist
