in Ica - Perú .... it's a quite desertic place :S more exactly...near Nazca Lines xD

yeah thats a male as to the species im not sure as of yet but ill look into it

i think this one is a Urophonius sp. or maybe a brachistosternus sp

maybe someone has more info on them but thats what im thinking

I'm thinking Urophonius sp. as well,it reminds me of the one I had from Patagonia Argentina a few years back.

Do a search on Urophonius sp for more info on them nd to varify especially look on the ScorpionFiles site gallery .
The 2 scorps you have look like adults(probably out looking for mates) so whatever size they are is the max size or close to it . I agree with Wayne/Telow it is difficult and fun to ID scorps.

Here is a list of Peruvian scorpion species http://eycb.pagesperso-orange.fr/scorpions/ASPerou.htm
Urophonius might not occur in Peru so I will look up some on the list for a match.

wow...yeah...it must be difficult to ID with the correct name some scorps Razz 'cause the Urophonius sp was very similar to the Brachistosternus sp ...

But its fun! Very Happy plus it made it easier with the list of scorps from Peru cross refferenced to the pictures in the Scorpion Files.

cool atleast its down to Brachistosternus a subspecies would be hard to do
but thats a cool scorpion and a very nice specimen to have
