| Ok, so my dune hasn't eaten in a couple of weeks now probably. I realize that can be totally normal, but I think it's because he wasn't born with any guts! He is so cricket-catching challenged it's pathetic! He has a meal right in his grasp so many times but just can't get a grip on it. He also will just as easily flee from the cricket, looking spooked. The crickets are fresh from PetCo, and are fed while they are 'on-deck' to go in the tank. Alot of times, I have had to help him out by using a stick to keep herding the cricket back to the scorp for another try. What's the deal? Is he really not hungry? Something else bothering him maybe causing too much stress to eat? A few days ago, he finally caught one, with a little assistance, and just held it for a while. He then put the damn cricket down and left it there, didn't even eat it?! He wasn't this bad when I first got him. I still am reasonably a newbie, so I may just be over reacting too. Any tips or opinions you can provide will be greatly appreciated. I attached a few pics that any cricket would want framed over their fireplace mantle lol... | |

| try not to over load the enclosure, put one in the tank at a time and try not to disturb him so much because it could be your presence thats spooking him into dropping the prey. another thing that could be spooking him is vibrations around the terrarium and shadows being cast. also..sometimes scorps are also known not to eat for a few weeks to months and then return to their normal rythm of catch, kill ,eat, hope all works out for the best for you in the comming days!! | |

| thanks i will say there is a bit of activity around him, music, lights, etc. i have his hide setup pretty good and he closes up both openings with the flooring when he wants privacy. I'll stop forcing the food on him and reduce the noises around him. I have an emp on this same display shelf and he's happy as a lark all the time. Anyway, that does make sense, thanks for the tips! | |

| Just a suggestion, but you might try a smaller sized cricket. Based on the photo, that cricket would be loooong eating.
(It's how I tricked mine to eat before he molted and got big enough to handle larger crickets) | |

| Just by looking at your scorpion, I don't think it can even fit a cricket in it's stomach. | |
