| to start- im not looking for those to down this experiment or say not to do it because it wont work. that out of the way here is what is going on. my girlfriend has decided to try a multi species set-up (with my encouragement) she has 5 2i Centruoides vittatus and 5 2i Vaejovis carolinianus living together in a small tupperware type container. there is plenty of hides and places to get away from everyone. this set up has been going good for about 1 month or so now without problems. in fact with all the places to hide, most of the scorps hang out together under the same piece of cork bark (both species together) she even has a few of each species that have molted to 3i and yet has no casualties. hopefully everything will continue to go well. what i would like is to hear what your thoughts are on this type of set up or if anyone has ever tried a multi species set up with these 2 species before and what your results were/are. we thought that it would be interesting to see what would happen and if they could live together and so far everything looks to be going well. i will post updates about this experiment to let you all know what is happening with it. |

a small tupperware enclosure is a bit different than what we have, i guess i should have described it better, its a circular container about 10 inches in diameter with 6 different cork bark hides, most of both species hide together under one small piece of bark |
