...finding this advice on the care sheet for Giant Desert hairy:
Substrate: a few inches sand that has been dampened and left to dry under a heat lamp for a few days.
What sort of wattage are we talking here? After the substrate has dried, is it advisable to leave a species such as
H. Arizonensis under a heat lamp....perhaps from a greater height?
Finally ...with regard to viewing your scorpions at night, do some or most of you use infared bulbs of some sort, and do they double as a heat source?
