H. Trilineatus Communal Question

I unfortunately lost my first scorpion today, I had been trying to keep 3 V. Spinigerus in a 10 gal set up. I found the telson of the little one today after a couple weeks of them doing great. On to the question though as I will be splitting up the remaining two V. Spins tomorrow.

I want a communal desert set up and am looking at some Hottentotta Trilineatus's. If I were to start with 3 would it be difficult to try and introduce a couple more a little while down the road? Is this not a good idea or are there any suggestions in how to do it in the least stressful and most successful means?

Also as far as substrate for the H. Tri's will sand be alright? I have been reading to mix sand with Peat at about 50/50 is this needed?

they are communal just be sure to keep them fed and you wont have trouble
as for adding more it shouldnt be a problem just be sure feed the ones you have before adding more in and your golden

a 50-50 mix for the sub is good

if you have and pop out for you take it out untill they leave the moms back and then
just put her back in and sepreate the little guys they will eat eachother when they are young but thats about the toughest time you would have with that

i had 15 in a 10 gal. tank with no problems
mine were on a 50-50 mix sand and coco fiber and i misted them 2x a week lightly
and i had no problems with them popping babies out or anything

Awesome, thanks for the input. I got a free when when I bought 4 so I have 5 in a 10 gal. When I built it up I tried some black sand that I found for them and for my V. Spins, but it worked for kaka. Was horrible for burrowing and it just got very hot here again so I was worried about them not being able to cool off so I gave both viv's an overhaul. The H. Tri's seemed ok with the extra commotion some ate immediately right after. The V. Spins are little tanks so I'm not too worried about them now that they are separated. I'll post some pics of the H. Tri's and post up a link here. If you have any suggestions or anything else comes to mind, let me know. I appreciate the insight!
