Welcome!

Two to three crickets a week is about perfect.

They will sometimes fast for several weeks for no reason as well, so don't panic if yours doesn't eat the food items - just try every few days or so if this is the case.

they can manage up to a year without food, but this is not normal or healthy for them. going for a month without food however is normal and usually means a molt but not always.
post a picture of the pectines (feathery bits underneath it) and we will be able to give you a positive ID.
welcome to the forum, enjoy your stay.

thats a male, no doubt about it. huge pectines and an oval operculum. looks to be adult though might not be, depends on the lighting in the photo.

That scorp is a sub-adult - I would guess at 5i considering its a male. That means its unlikely to be 6-8 months old, i would say over a year old.

I vote male as well from the size of the pectines.
