I found her/him in our house the other day... (Santa Cruz, CA, USA)

I think it is a Uroctonus mordax mordax from what I've researched. Anyone know for sure?

And is he/she obese or pregnant?

I don't have much knowledge on these guys, but it does look like a U. mordax.
However, that's just a guess.
Just wait a while until our moderator Mr. Mordax comments, he knows them like the back of his hand lol

sweet find, by the way Very Happy

I sent the photos I posted here to this other guy and he was sure it was a Uroctonites montereus... So sure that he asked permission to use one of the photos on his page (below)

wow, if that's the case, that's a pretty good find!
The guy in your link even says it's rare and I've never heard of the species either.
Did you ask him what the care for this species is like?

Thats the thing... no one seems to really know much about how to care for her in particular. Which is cool, I've tried my best to replicate our backyard in a fishbowl. And she seems to be pretty happy? How would I tell if she was unhappy or stressed?

Now I'm concerned...?

I replied in your other thread (I need to start logging in more frequently than every six weeks Embarassed). From these pics I'm nearly 100% sure that she's an adult, and from the other pics I'm leaning heavily towards gravid.

Here's an article I wrote a few years ago on them:
http://venomlist.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23700

And the pics are broken because the host changed their URLs; the figures are now located here:
