Hi,
Bought my Emperor Scorpion about 2 days ago and ever since I put her in she has hidden under her peice of wood and olny come out at night, I know that they are nocturnal but she won't even move. Humidity os 80% and temperature is about 77 degrees f, I don't think that anything is wrong.

Nothing is wrong....these inverts are known as burrowers or as everyone else calls them (pet holes). This analogy is very very true and it is what it is. Some are different, some will come out all the time and some you will not see. I only see my 2 every once in a great while so it all depends from scorp to scorp. Some act differently. I would try to maintain a 80-85 temp if thats possible. Humidity seems fine so dont worry. They tend to stop eating from time to time so no worries.

On the other side it is white as normal, I think it's pregnant so i think it is something to do with that,

I see the dark patch that you refer to, although I cannot say for sure what it is. I don't think it is Mycosis. It could have been part of a bad molt that it had gone through.

As for hiding, I had similar concerns about scorpions disappearing for weeks and months. My desert hairy closed herself off for nearly 4 months. She came out looking well and hungry. Scorpions do this all the time for various reasons.

Welcome to the forum fellow Essex man!!

Hmmm... I haven't seen that before but almost looks like a part of a tergite that has somehow perhaps shifted over to the side during a bad molt. (Almost looks scabby) scratch

Also, I've noticed that the next segment to the left of the black one is also darker that the remainder of the membrane suggesting bruising or some sort of injury maybe.

As DesertHaddy said, It won't be mycosis. I think unless someone else has seen this before, then all we can do is to wait and see.

On a side note, she does look gravid and very healthy. Smile

That's odd, haven't seen that before either and it looks like she just might be gravid.

Yup, it's possible. Just make sure everything is right in her enclosure so she is in good condition when birthing. You can never tell the exact time as it can be months, but the more comfortable she is, the better chances of successful birthing. I've been waiting on mine for almost a year now for her to give birth. She mated last summer Smile Your scorpion's size looks about the same as mine, too.

OK cheers for that so she could be gravid for ages, what temperature and humidity must it be for her to birth?

Well, I'm not sure when your scorpion mated, but like I said, my scorpion's gestation period has been close to a year. Who knows how long your scorpion has been gravid.
Both the humidity and temperature should be in the low to mid 80s, although high 70s works too.
When you feed her, don't dump in a lot of crickets either. Provide a nice, private hide for her and some soft, moist substrate to burrow in.
