We went camping the other week, and on our return found this
she's a mummy Photo0445

I had an idea she could be gravid by her behaviour but she didnt seem very big so put it down to been a tad greedy.
there were 4 on her back when we found her here, this was about 3 in the afternoon, by the next morning there were roughly 10 and im unable to count as she is so full but there are deffinately over 16 from what i can see, they were born 1st may and are doing really well thus far

just thought i would share lol

i also have a heavily gravid desert hairy at the moment, though i understand that none of wich are likely to make it past 3 instar if they even make it that far at all - wich is a total shame as they are beautiful scorpions - i will do all i can to help them out though - any sudgestions on that one?

has anybody on these boards ever succesfully breed desert hairy's or managed to keep them alive past 3 instar? im just wanting advice for all that can be offered really. what can be done to help them. somebody said that i could keep one end of the tank humid slightly but allowing the other end so she can escape from it as they dont like it, but im worried about her developing mycosis.

i really want her to have a succesfull birth with them

Thats awesome! One of the reasons I got into scorps, was that I heard they are somewhat easy to breed. So Im pretty excited!
Interested in seeing how they do
