Yo guys after heavy part time jobs Im back to the forum,to ask questions.lol
Okay, this is about paring up my Lampropelma Violaceopes pair.
Since February i received this specimen from a friend in my country, estimated size is around 6-7 inches with 2.5cm long carapace.Meanwhile I also have few singapore blue juveniles which i had raised them since they were 2nd or 3rd instar. So one of the little ones went matured with tibia and gloves today and my mind immediately tells why not to breed them.So i called up the seller asking for the date of the last moult of the female specimen but he failed to answer me claiming that they never record any.Im in a real hesitate whether is this a right timing to pair them.I never seen a fully grown lampropelma violaceopes before, thus I never know whether mine has fully grown or not, which im now to check it out and ask for opinions. She never moult before since i got her, only abdomen getting slightly bigger.
You see,if i pair them up few weeks later, possibilities will be like either the female sheds or the end up infertile sac(may be) due to immaturity. If it happens that I pump the female and expect for a moult, the male might not be lasting so long,as adult specimen take quite sometime to moult, right?
So erm..I need you guys help.

looking a bit scabby so I would suggest an upcoming molt is due. She should be more electric violet/blue than she is. Take for example our H.lividum, she is due for a molt and has gone totally brown, certainly not the usual blue you expect from a female lividum.

L.vio's look very much like Cyriopagopus scheodeti as juvi's / sub adults. Only when a female matures do all the orange hairs lose their colour and they go totally violet/blue.

It is best to mate spids when you know the history so knowing when she molted is of key importance. If you mate her now I think she is too far through her molting cycle to mate successfully.

Kept a bit cooler than the female the male should last thick end of a year I would suspect.

BE WARNED!!! They are known male eaters. There is a ratio of something like 5:1 males to females because of their lover appetite!

Also..... you prolly need to rethink the enclosure.... they are super arboreal when mature.... adult females are almost always found in large hollows of mature trees.....

Otherwise they won't do well in the breeding cycle.

i heard about this, but I wonder if it has to do with temps the eggs develop in... cos out of 3 slings, I got 2 females and 1 male.

Right now, my male is wandering around his enclosure all day, and I'm currently trying to figure out how to initiate the introduction....

beyond just putting the male in his cage - more around ideal conditions, how allow the male escape if the female is not receptive, - cos only having one male... I'll e needing another one for the other female...

Shark taking if you have the facilities and space to do so Alex. Male will have plenty of space to get away.

Two different ways of shark tanking. First is to put both male and female tanks/tubs into a larger tank but this take up a lot of room.
Secondly if the female has a large enough tank to stick the males tank in there. I am currently doing the second version with my Poecilotheria fasciata - again another known male eating species.

As for having 2 females I think you were just really lucky lolz. There has been much debate as to whether temperature influences sex of the spiderlings but it has yet to be proven either way.

Haha,Alex you are just lucky enough to have 2 female out of 3.For mine I had 3 female out of 10.May be the temperature really plays a role ?

Well, my argument was that this was an observation made mostly by breeders in the States or UK. Seeing that you presented a consistency here.... maybe the ratio is true.

How would I go about this Lisa?
