PostSubject: Want Rare U.S. species? Are you Tough as nails? Fearless? Then lets go collecting!   3/3/2010, 3:46 am

I am going to try and keep this brief, as I need to go to sleep and try to leave for a trip tomorrow.

I hunt scorpions here. (U.S.)

I would enjoy a positive person as company.

I don't have a car. (I hitch and bike when you aren't around Smile )

I will be taking trips all along the U.S./Mexico border, and the Desert SW.

I will have some gas money. I will have an extra black light for you as well.

I don't tolerate intolerance of others for things they can't help. (race, sexual orientation, disabilities)

I can meet you for a day or night of hunting, or if you are nice, we could go all over for months if you want...

My goals for this year are to get most or all of the U.S. diplocentrus and hadrurus species.

Of particular desire: D. diablo, D. whitei, D. peloncillensis, H. obscurus, and H. a. "pallidus"

Of course, for every one of these species, there will be 10 or 20 other species close by.

*Also, importantly: You must be 18+, and either male, or there with your partner. No Single Females please.

So, do you want to take your collection to a whole new level? Are you within striking distance of the U.S. Mexico border? Or, one of the Great U.S. deserts? Do you like cool rare scorpions? Are you cool?

*Note, many of these trips, especially along the border, are inherently risky. You can count on being stopped by border patrol, and running across smugglers. These trips are not for the infirm or weak of heart. We will be in areas without medical services and without cell phone service. If you are unsure of your abilities, I would not recommend a border trip with me. Those are for the ninjas. If you can do it. Well come on then!

Shoot me an email at: Nomadinexile@hushmail.com for more info.....

* I should have some gas money. *Also, I am leaving tomorrow or the next night to go to the border to hunt. Do not worry if I don't reply right away. I'm going where computers don't roam. Smile PEACE, ~r

Aww, man. This totally reminds me of the trip I took to West Texas a couple years back. I wish I could go again! Sad

Whenever we got stopped by border patrol or the local cops, they laughed when we explained what we were doing and told us to have a good night.

LOL... I can imagine their disappointment from their failure to catch DUI, possession, grand-teft auto... in the space of a bunch of dudes going...

"We're like... hunting for scorpions, ya know... like real ones..." etc
