i ship my stuff in a styro lined cardborad box. i use plastic 25 dram vials to house each sling. i put paper towel in the bottom in a next fashion then cover it with more paper towel. i then put some wet paper towel in the vial (just a bit) and then cover the vial. i would only use heat packs designed for shipping animals. i use 40 hour UniHeat. oh and make sure to pack news paper around the vials and make sure they don't just slide around in the box.

I've gotten vials of various sizes from a university bookstore . . . not sure where to find them elsewhere, other than in bulk from online supply stores.

You could also use small delicups (just a couple of ounces), or if the slings are really small, you can put them inside a drinking straw plugged with damp paper towel at each end.

You can hit a local pet shop and ask them for vials or you can purchase the tubing for aquarium pumps and slice that up. I have shipped Latrodectus hesperus in those tubes and they did fine. not the thin hose but the filter tubing

What kind of S.lings?
how much?

You can also use straws. I cut them into 2"-4" lengths, put moistened paper wads between each scorpion and on the ends. I take all of the straws and put them into something stronger like plastic tupperware...

depending on the pet store, they might also buy them from you
just be ready to pull the "undercutting" maneuver and use the "captive born" tag.
plus their demand for wild caught, at least at one store, will lessen

and i should also say, wait till 4-6i to do this Razz

How'd I miss that? Oh, yeah, not sleeping all night sitting on the computer giving scorpion advice to people around the world.... awesome

Hehe

*I mean, I helped a guy in switzerland last night. I had to get out google translator to tell some other countries scorp people that DH's aren't in TX. And I sexed a chinese guy's scorpion, when I've never even seen a sample of the genus in person! I had to go find out how to sex for him, (he could have done it probably, but I think English is a tough language for many who it's a second or third language, so I figured I would be faster.) I tried to help a brazilian find a supplier... Etc... wohoo.

I feel like the United Nations of Scorpions or something. But maybe that's just the lack of sleep. Hip Hop
