PostSubject: Mites? Heterometrus Bangladesii?   2/18/2010, 5:46 pm

Right guys help me out on this one will ya?

I was on reptileforumsuk and some guy is selling a "Heterometrus Bangladeshii" which i've never heard of. On scorpion files they have a similar looking scorp under the name of "heterometrus sp - india" which is probably it.

But anyway, to my point. Does the scorpion have mites on its carapace because it sure looks like it to me?

"H. bangladeshii" is probably a name he pulled out of a certain orifice known for smelling bad.

It's either mites or dirt (seen a lot on WC specimens), I'm not sure which.

Yeah exactly and is trying to flog it off. Why else would you sell your pair of that species if you had one, eh?
