 Baking sand

My oven is on the fritz
will putting the sand in a pot and letting it heat from the bottom as through the top burners? I'm sure it is, just wondering if anyone else did it this way :p

You can do that or put it in a cookie sheet in maybe 1/4" layers across 2 burners I know it sucks to do it like that but it ought to work

I'm sure it worked follow the same principal as with an oven let it heat up for like 15 min kn high then let it cool. should work. Just check it for cool spots between the burners
