When do I bake the sand? Before or after I add the excavator clay?

Honestly, it doesn't really matter. The only time I've baked stuff anyway was when it came from outside or developed questionable fungal growth.

(Never used the sand from Home Depot, but I'd probably bake it if I used it.)
