PostSubject: Question about Desert Substrate   2/11/2010, 7:18 pm

I haven't a clear answer on this so I'm just gonna come out and say it

When do I bake the sand? Before or after I add the excavator clay?

Thanks,

I should think that you would do it before.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter. The only time I've baked stuff anyway was when it came from outside or developed questionable fungal growth.

(Never used the sand from Home Depot, but I'd probably bake it if I used it.)
